Infiheal had the genuine pleasure of welcoming a delegation from KORIKA, Indonesia's national AI body, to STATION F in Paris. For a team working at the intersection of AI and mental health, conversations about how cultural nuance shapes technology are not peripheral. They sit right at the heart of what Infiheal is building.

About KORIKA

KORIKA is Indonesia's national ecosystem orchestrator for artificial intelligence, established to drive national AI strategy, digital literacy, and ethical technology adoption across government, industry, and academia. Its work sits at the intersection of policy, capacity building, and responsible innovation, making it one of the more important institutions in Southeast Asia's rapidly developing AI landscape. For a platform like Healo, which operates across 165 countries, the questions KORIKA is grappling with in Indonesia are the same ones Infiheal navigates every day at a product level: how do you build AI that genuinely serves people whose cultural context, language, and relationship with mental health are different from the communities most technology is designed for?

A Conversation That Found Its Own Shape

The delegation included Saiful Ridwan, formerly Chief of Enterprise Solutions at the UN Environment Programme and currently a Digital Solutions Expert, and Siska Riefelyna, Data and Artificial Intelligence Expert, both leaders bringing deep experience in policy and responsible AI to the table.

The conversation deepened further when STATION F colleagues Gautam Maurya and Jitendra Purohit from Daten & Wissen joined in. What had started as an introduction became something closer to a working session. Each person added a different lens: policy, product, and lived context. The conversation developed a shape none of them had planned going in, which is usually a sign that something genuinely useful is being worked through.

Culture Is Not a Detail

What sat at the heart of the exchange was something Infiheal thinks about constantly in the context of building for the Global South: what counts as care, what people are willing to name out loud, what silence means in one place versus another. These are not details you can standardise across a product built for the world. They shape everything, from how a conversation with an AI companion is opened, to what someone is willing to disclose, to whether seeking support feels safe or exposing.

Infiheal walked the delegation through the platform's journey: from the earliest version of Healo to where it stands today, live across 165 countries and shaped by every gap noticed along the way. Not just as a product history, but as a reflection of what it actually takes to build mental health support that travels well across cultures without losing the specificity that makes it meaningful.

A Vision Worth Exploring Together

The team also shared where Infiheal sees this going, not just as a platform roadmap but as a broader bet on what mental healthcare support should look like globally. From there, the conversation moved into something more exploratory: the possibility of an acceleration-style programme in Indonesia. A programme like that gives startups real room to experiment and learn in a way few other formats do, and the group spent time thinking through what that could look like in practice, from the kinds of teams it could support to the outcomes worth building toward.

Nothing was formalised. But the conversation had the texture of one that continues. And for Infiheal, that is exactly the kind of dialogue worth having more of.
