Infiheal was present at United Nations and World Health Organization headquarters in Geneva for the 79th World Health Assembly, marking a return to the alpine country just months after WEF Davos. As an IndiaAI healthcare company, being part of these conversations, alongside India's health leadership on a stage of this magnitude, felt like a meaningful continuation of the work Infiheal has been building toward.

In the Room with India's Health Leadership

Infiheal had the honour of engaging in conversations alongside India's health leadership at the Assembly, including with Shri J. P. Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, and India's Permanent Mission team in Geneva. Addressing a high-level side event on 'Artificial Intelligence in Health: Laws, Ethical Oversight, Research and Equity,' Minister Nadda emphasised that while AI presents immense opportunities for advancing healthcare delivery, it must be shaped by sound regulation, rigorous research, ethical oversight, and a deep commitment to equity so its benefits reach every citizen.

He warned that AI could either bridge healthcare gaps or deepen inequities, depending entirely on how it is designed, deployed, and regulated. Nadda also stressed that digitisation and data alone are insufficient to improve health outcomes, underlining the importance of sector-specific governance frameworks for the responsible use of AI in healthcare.

It was equally valuable to be invited into WHA high-level events and multilateral discussions, with the chance to interact with health ministers and delegations from Malaysia, Oman, China, Brazil, Egypt, Estonia, Switzerland, Thailand, and others.

A Deeper Pattern Across the Conversations

Amid all the dialogue, a deeper pattern stood out: AI in healthcare cannot exist as a standalone intelligence layer. It has to operate as a human-in-the-loop system by design, one where clinical judgment, institutional trust, and machine intelligence continuously reinforce each other.

This becomes even more critical in mental health AI systems, where Infiheal is actively working on reducing risks like AI sycophancy and AI-induced psychosis, ensuring that models do not reinforce delusion, dependency, or unsafe validation loops, but instead remain grounded, calibrated, and clinically responsible.

Equally important is what sits beneath the models themselves, not just algorithms, but dataset standards, interoperability, and the governance of health data systems across borders. Without that foundation, scalability in healthcare AI is not just difficult, it becomes unsafe.

Safety as a First Principle, Not an Afterthought

That observation leads to a harder design reality: safety is not a feature to be added later. It has to be embedded across healthcare datasets, workflows, and human oversight from day one. In this context, seeing India's SAHI (Strategy for AI in Healthcare for India) Framework reflected in broader discussions around responsible and scalable AI in healthcare was genuinely enlightening. Nadda described SAHI as a comprehensive, people-centric framework from the Global South, intended to steer AI innovation ethically and transparently. He also introduced the BODH platform, designed to benchmark AI solutions against real-world data for safety and fairness.

A Mission Reaching Global Conversations

Being able to contribute to this evolving conversation from India to the world, and to see Infiheal's mission of making mental health accessible, affordable, and stigma-free reach the global stage of AI in healthcare, is a moment the team is genuinely proud of.
